Editorial Policy

How we research, check and correct what we publish.

Every VietnamQuest page is written from sourced facts, and every number is dated. This policy explains how we research, how often we recheck and how you can ask for a correction.

How are pages researched?

We start with official and primary sources wherever they exist, such as airline and airport pages, tourism bodies and government channels. Where an official page is not available for a fact, we use a reference source and say so on the page.

Each fact goes into a dated fact bank with its claim, its source link and the date we checked it. A page may use only facts from that bank. Facts appear in a list on the page, and a marker at the end of the sentence leads to the record.

How do we treat prices and schedules?

Prices, flight routes, opening hours and entry rules change. We treat them as changeable facts, mark them as volatile in our records and present them as “listed when we checked”, with a reminder to confirm before you go.

If a figure is not in the fact bank, it is not on the page. Instead we describe the idea in words and link a tool where you can enter today’s quote, such as the budget builder.

What do we leave out on purpose?

We write no invented reviews, testimonials, visits or personal experiences. Restaurants, hotels, guides and tour companies appear only when we can source them, and we name mosques, airports and official bodies because they are public landmarks.

Halal status is never assumed. For meals and hotels we explain how to check: look for a certificate on display, ask who issued it, ask about the kitchen and suppliers, and tell the difference between Muslim-owned, certified and pork-free. See the meal and prayer checks.

How often do we recheck facts?

Volatile facts, such as routes, entry rules and listed prices, are rechecked before each season. All other facts are rechecked every six months. Data pages such as the flight routes table show the date we last checked.

How do corrections work?

Message us on WhatsApp with the page and what looks wrong. We compare it against the source, correct the page if the source supports your point, and update the date of our check. If you have a newer official source, send it.

Read our methodology for how costs are compiled, the disclaimer for what the site can promise and the about page for who we are.

Prices, schedules and entry rules change. Check the details with the airline, the attraction or your travel agency close to your travel date.
