What this site gives you, and what to confirm before you travel.
VietnamQuest gives planning guidance: routes, seasons, cost components and questions to ask. Travel information changes, so confirm the details that matter with the people who sell or regulate them before you pay or fly.
What is VietnamQuest?
VietnamQuest is an independent planning resource for Malaysians travelling to Vietnam. Tours, flights and hotels are sold by licensed agencies, airlines and hotels, and bookings and payments are made with them.
When you want a quote, we introduce a licensed Malaysian travel agency of your choice. You can check an agency’s licence on MOTAC’s travel agency check, which MOTAC’s homepage links to1.
What should I confirm before I travel?
Entry rules, flight schedules, prices, opening hours and weather all change. Our pages mark volatile facts and give the date we checked, and you should still confirm the following:
- Entry rules: read our guide to official sources and check the rules for your passport and dates.
- Flights and fares: ask the airline, using the flight routes table to know whom to ask.
- Prices and inclusions: get them in writing from the seller.
- Weather: check a forecast close to departure, since our weather table shows seasons, not daily conditions.
Whose advice do I take on health and safety?
Health and safety decisions belong with qualified sources. Speak to your doctor about vaccinations, medicines and conditions, ask your insurer what your policy covers, and follow official safety notices for the places you visit.
Our pages describe what travellers can plan for, such as stairs, long road legs and heat, and they leave medical and safety judgement to the right professionals.
What about halal meals and prayer?
We explain how to check halal arrangements and name public landmarks such as mosques. We do not certify any restaurant or hotel as halal. Confirm certificates and kitchen practices yourself, using our meal and prayer checks.
What do the tools promise?
The tools calculate from the numbers you enter and show an estimate. Prices change, so confirm each figure with the seller. Our methodology describes how each tool reasons.
How do I report an error?
Message us on WhatsApp with the page and the problem. Corrections follow our editorial policy.
