A transfer line in a quote should tell you who meets you, where, for how long and what happens if you are late. If any of those is missing, ask before you pay. For elders and families with young children, a pre-arranged first ride is usually worth having.
What should a transfer line answer?
Five things. Ask for each in writing.
- Who: a named driver or a company sign.
- Where: the exact meeting point in the arrivals hall.
- How long: how many minutes the driver waits after landing.
- What: a private car or a shared van.
- What if late: who to call and what happens to the transfer.
Share your flight number when you book, so the seller can follow delays.
How far is the ride from the airport?

When is a private transfer worth it?
It is worth it on arrival day, when you are tired and carrying luggage. It also helps after dark, when your group includes grandparents, toddlers or someone with mobility needs. Ask for a vehicle that fits your bags, not only your people.

What does a transfer included mean?
It means a driver takes you between the airport and your hotel in a vehicle arranged by the seller. Check whether it covers arrival only or both arrival and departure. Ask whether the vehicle is private or shared with other guests, since a shared ride can add stops before your hotel.
Where will the driver meet me?
Ask for the exact meeting point in the arrivals hall and the name or sign to look for. Request a local phone number for the driver. Save it before you fly, since airport signal and queues can make finding each other harder.
What if my flight is late?
Ask how long the driver waits and whether late arrivals are tracked. Some sellers follow the flight number and others work to a fixed time. Give the flight number when you book, and ask who to call if you are delayed at immigration.
Is a transfer worth it for elders and toddlers?
Usually yes on the first arrival. A pre-arranged ride avoids queues, negotiation and tiring decisions after a flight. Ask for a vehicle with space for luggage and a car seat if you need one, and confirm it in writing.
