Vietnam Travel Prices We Checked
Planning a Vietnam budget and want fares you can trace to a seller's page.
This page lists prices that sellers showed on their own pages in October 2026, one row per price. Every row names the seller and carries a marker that opens the full record, with the link and the date we checked.
Prices change by season, weekday and how full a service is, and some of the pages below quoted a single sample date. Treat each row as the rough size of a cost. Open the seller’s page for your own date before you book.
How do I turn these prices into ringgit?
Most rows are in Vietnamese dong (VND), and a few are in ringgit (MYR) or euros. We do not print a ringgit conversion, because the rate moves and we have no dated source for it.
Type the dong figure and today’s rate from your bank or card into the cost worksheet in ringgit. If you want the whole trip in one place, the trip budget builder takes your quotes line by line.
What do flights from Malaysia cost?
These are fares Vietnam Airlines showed for one-way flights from Kuala Lumpur. The ranges are wide because they cover cheap and flexible fares.

What have we not priced yet?
Beyond the Hanoi hotel and pho reference points above, we have not checked hotels in other cities, everyday meals, Grab rides or set tours. Those prices vary with the room, the menu and the operator, and we have no seller page we could open and cite for them yet.
We add a line only after we have read the seller’s page and noted the date. Until then, ask for a written quote and put it into the budget builder. For what a realistic budget includes, read the trip cost guide.
How we checked these prices
We read each seller’s own page, or a booking site’s listing, in October 2026 and copied the figure and the date. We recheck volatile prices before each season. If a row looks out of date, message us on WhatsApp and we will look at the source again. The costs hub links the other pages on money.
If you have a route in mind and want a second pair of eyes on whether the legs and fares add up, send us the cities and dates and we will go through it with you.
Common questions
Are these the prices I will pay?
No. They are what a seller listed on the day we looked, usually for one sample date. Fares move with season, day and how full a service is. Use a row as a rough size of the cost, then open the seller page for your own date before you commit.
Why are only a few hotel and meal prices shown?
We list only the reference points we could trace to a page, here a Hanoi hotel average and Hanoi pho. We add a price here only after we have read the seller's own page and noted the date, so a missing line means unchecked, not free or cheap.
How do I turn dong into ringgit?
Take the dong figure, then use the exchange rate your bank or card shows on the day. The cost worksheet has a box for the rate and adds each line for you, so you only type the quotes you have.
