Land Arrangement
The part of a package that starts when your plane lands, and how to compare two of them fairly.
Land arrangement is the part of a package that happens on the ground: hotels, transfers, tours, guides and some meals. It leaves out the flights. You book those separately or take them from a different seller.
How will you meet it on the trip?
You will see “land arrangement” or “land only” on quotes and package listings. Two prices can look very different only because one includes flights and the other does not. Our guide to whether the flight is included explains how to put them side by side.
What is the tip?
Read what the land arrangement covers line by line: transfers, entrance fees, meals and guides. What a Vietnam package includes and leaves out is a good checklist. The package inclusion comparator lets you set two quotes on equal terms.
Which related terms will you see?
- Airport transfer: the ride between the airport and your hotel, covered in what a package covers.
- Optional excursion: a tour that you can add and pay for separately.
- Free time: hours with nothing booked.

Common questions
Does a land arrangement include flights?
No. The name means everything on the ground and nothing in the air, so you book your own flights from Malaysia. A package that includes flights is a different product with a different price. Always read the first line of a quote to see which one you have.
Why would I choose a land arrangement?
It gives you control over the flight. You can choose your own airline, dates and baggage, and you can fly into one city and home from another. The trade-off is that you manage the flight and the connections yourself, including airport pick-up on arrival.
What should I confirm in writing?
Ask for hotel names or star level, room type, which meals are included, which tickets are in the price, and what the transfers cover. Ask about the vehicle and the guide as well. A short written list protects you better than a verbal promise.
